CinemaIK - new tool for Unity, soon in Asset Store!

Image
Some time ago I needed to make a trailer for a game. Of course I used the brand new Timeline and it was awesome. In the trailer there was been some close-up dramatic shots of the main hero and because I used standard idle animation for him, he didnt have any emotions at all. Back then I wrote a little script to make move his eyes and head which also works in editor, even in edit mode. Close-up shot from trailer Now I want to make the script more powerful and optimized to publish it on the Asset Store. Here is main features: Full IK - head, body, feet and hands; Eyes look with eye groups which allows to move eyes individually or even animate more than 2 eyes(spider for example); Animate emotions with blendshapes, create emotions from certain blendshapes and use weights to animate, also several blend modes for weights; And all of this works in realtime in edit mode and supports Timeline. Here is a comparasion: Few minutes and you can get acceptable result Right

Four years of silence...

There was 4 years of silence since I opened that blog. What I have been up to? 2015 Panzer Conflict - this is my first project in Unity. I started to learn Unity, but after almost 2 years of development project become to big and there is was problems with code and architecture. Because when I first started doing the project I used javascript, at the end the goal changed, I started using C #, and the old architecture ceased to meet all the requirements. And most importantly - the release of Unity 5. Now we have plans to do from scratch using old assets. 2016 Ancient Guardian - our first Steam game. Action adventure in procedurally-generated locations. You play as father, who have to find his lost daughter, avoiding meeting dangerous enemies, bypassing traps and solving puzzles. Helped the artist with the project. And some prototypes... 2017 Mad day, man! Game for GamesJamKanobu2017 Keeplanet, Ludum Dare 38 Ancient Guardi
